Paul & I are mostly packed, and we've at least assembled everything on The List...we will be on our way to Nags Head, NC via Leesburg, VA as of tomorrow morning around 11:00! Having lunch & spending the evening with our good friends of Northern VA tomorrow, then heading from there the rest of way to NC on Sunday morning. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I'm going to go hop into bed and read my new bartending book, because Paul's telling me I need to go in the bedroom and shut the door so he can wrap my birthday present in peace...*grin*
I feel so lucky I could pop! I love my family and friends...and...my hubby...
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, everyone!

Hard Drive
So I just went to transfer all the pictures from my camera to my computer, as I do periodically. But this time, halfway through the transfer, an error box popped up: "Insufficient Disk Space."
My hard drive is full.
I have a 60 GB hard drive, about 5 of which is taken up by the OS and other vital software. I have less than 300 MB available. I have filled up 55 GB.
I got this computer in May of 2005, just before I graduated from Juniata. I immediately set to work ripping every CD I owned into iTunes, and probably filled around 8 GB right then. I just checked, and I currently have just under 13 GB of music. My Pictures folder has 16.6 GB.
Paul just got home. Turns out, there was a lot of space taken up by various applications and games he had installed before he got his own computer. Now that we've deleted all those and emptied the trash, I have over 5 GB available. Still not much, but at least I can finish downloading my camera pictures so that I can show you the little shrug I crocheted. Picasa link coming soon.
We still haven't really solved what's taking up that remaining 30+ GB...and Paul and I have been talking about getting an external hard drive anyway, so now we will definitely do that soon. Paul thinks he can hook one up to our wireless network so that we can both access it, and then we could keep all of our music on there, and merge our iTunes libraries. Is that a milestone in our relationship?

I heart weekends.
Fun time yesterday on my date with Kel. I hope we do that a lot. And Paul put down the quarter-round in our dining room, so with a teeny bit more organization in the living room, we could be ready for dinner guests!
Also had fun at choir last night - everyone loved my shrug, which I wore yesterday! I will post a pic soon. I'm pretty excited to own a piece of clothing that I made myself. It's pretty neat.
Tonight is dinner & Hershey Symphony with Mom A...yay!
Tomorrow I think Paul and I might actually just have an open Saturday together...time to go to the farmer's market, finish some gardening, go on a walk, clean...should be nice. Next weekend is Han's graduation, and now we're all going up on Friday evening (Mom, Dad, Gommy, me, and now including Paul...Poppy is coming up the next morning, and I think he might be bringing his lady friend, so I will get to meet her). So anyway, that will be really nice because we'll all go to dinner Friday night and now Paul will be along too. We'll sleep on the flip-out couch at Han's apartment, and drive the Matrix to give her a little extra room to pack things up the next day. And then I'll have a girlfriend and a sister nearby again! So happy.
Time for work...let's see if I can get Paul up in time to run to Giant with me for some breakfast.
